Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. We use Supabase for authentication, which may store additional session metadata.

User Content

Notation files and other content you upload are stored in our database. This content is associated with your account and displayed according to its visibility settings.

Usage Data

We use Vercel Analytics and Sentry for performance monitoring and error tracking. These services collect anonymized usage data such as page views, web vitals, and error reports. Sentry may capture session replays when errors occur to help us diagnose issues.

Local Storage

We store your theme preferences and reader settings in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication

• Sentry — error monitoring and session replay

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.

We retain your account information and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and uploaded content will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your uploaded notation content

Carnatic.app uses essential cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Your theme and reader preferences are stored in local storage, not cookies.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies on our database, and secure authentication via Supabase. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Carnatic.app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
