Terms of Service

By accessing or using Carnatic.app ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Carnatic.app is a web application for learning, teaching, and practicing Carnatic music (South Indian classical music). The Service provides interactive notation display, a reference library of ragams, thalams, and compositions, and tools for managing musical content.

Some features require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

You retain ownership of notation files and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading content, you grant Carnatic.app a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and serve your content as necessary to operate the Service. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape or bulk-download content from the Service

The Service, including its design, code, and reference content (ragam data, thalam structures, dictionary definitions), is the property of Carnatic.app and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Traditional Carnatic music compositions in the public domain remain in the public domain.

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Carnatic.app shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, though provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
